QVC have gotten in on the beauty box action and I managed to get hold of one of the second instalment of their TILI box.
TILI stands for ‘Try it love it!’ which is a phrase/guarantee QVC have been using for a while now so it makes sense that they’ve used it as the name of their in-house beauty box. The box comes in at £20 including postage and packing which I must say is an absolute bargain for what you get in it.
In the TILI Box
- Percy & Reed, Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse, Full 200ml size; RRP £12
I’ve tried this on my practice manikin head and it definitely did not stiffen her hair or leave it sticky at all but did provide good hold for the curls I was creating. I will definitely be using this again and again however I’m not sure I would be able to justify the £12 price tag on a normal basis.
- NIOD, Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex, Full 15ml size RRP £25
I already use this product daily alongside the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum I featured in my September Favourites and seeing this in the box was what really clinched the purchase for me as it’s worth more than the box price alone.
- Tarte, Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara, Full 7ml size RRP £22
I haven’t tried this mascara before but I do adore Tarte’s other mascara (Lights, Camera, Lashes!) so I’ll be happy if this one is anywhere close to that. I’ll report back on it once I’ve broken it open and given it a thorough test drive, this is another product that is worth the price of the box by its self.
- Philosophy, Amazing Grace shower gel, 30ml sample size;
“A three-in-one shower gel, bath foam and shampoo, with an amazingly clean, beautifully feminine scent.” I’m unfortunately unable to use this one as I’m allergic to the fragrance so I’ll have to pass this one on to a friend who will be able to enjoy it.
- OPI, Nail lacquer in ‘Russian Navy’, Full 15ml size RRP £12.50;
Described as an inky blue shimmer shade this is a regular nail polish from the well known nail brand. An appropriate winter colour, it will look great with some silver glitter on top.
- Laura Geller, Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer in ‘Bronze’, Full 59ml size RRP £25;
At first this appears quite terrifyingly dark but it really does go on quite sheer – I’ll be trying it out on a day I’m not going anywhere though just in case! It feels nice and not at all heavy despite being silicone based.
- Pixi, Endless Silky Eye Pen in ‘Black Noir’, 0.8g luxury sample size,
This black pencil is supposed to be long wearing and water-resistant – my eyes will certainly put that to the test!
- Caudalie, Resveratrol Lift Moisturizer SPF20, 15ml sample size;
A priming moisturiser with soft-focus mattifying powders that “instantly blur the look of your skin, while helping to smooth and re-contour the look of your complexion.” Sounds interesting! Ingredient wise this contains hyaluronic acid, peptides and has an in built SPF of 20 so that stacks up well. I am yet to find any evidence for the benefits of resveratrol however.
I do hope QVC continue doing these boxes! I know the first one sold out so if you want one of these you may want to head over to their website sharpers.
